Watchlist — your pinned occupations at a glance
Watchlist is the fastest way to answer “anything move in my occupations?” without rebuilding a chart every visit. You pin the occupations you follow, and the view shows each one’s submitted count, invited count and recent change side by side.
What this view measures
Each row is one pinned occupation on the visa and status you have selected. The main figure is the submitted count in the latest published month, with the invited count beside it and the movement since you last looked.
Reading the chart
Read the change column first — it is the reason to open this view — then the absolute counts for context. A movement of thirty means very different things in a pool of two hundred and a pool of six thousand.
Pins are per browser, and they carry across the other views, so an occupation you pin here is the one already selected when you open Occupation Trends.
What the figure represents
The counts are the same published figures as everywhere else in the product: EOIs in the pool at the snapshot, not people, and not invitations issued. Watchlist only saves you the setup.
In the dashboard
Pin occupations from the search box in any view, then come back here to scan them. Keep the list short — six or seven rows stay readable, twenty do not.
Watchlist itself is behind sign in, so pins survive between sessions. Occupation Trends is open in the guest trial if you want to see the underlying numbers first.
Watchlist needs an account so pins persist. Occupation Trends for 189 and 190 is open in the guest trial.
For applicants
Pin only occupations you could actually be assessed for. A watchlist of ten job titles you are not eligible to claim produces anxiety, not information.
For migration professionals
One browser profile per client segment keeps the lists meaningful. When you brief, open Occupation Trends behind each row rather than quoting the watchlist number alone — the trend line carries the context the row cannot.
Limits of this view
It cannot tell you why a number moved, and it has no view of your own EOI. Two pinned occupations moving in opposite directions is normal and rarely means anything on its own.
Common questions
Does pinning an occupation affect my EOI?
No. Pins are a display preference stored for your account. They have no connection to SkillSelect and no effect on any application.
What does “changed” compare against?
The published snapshot you last saw, so the comparison moves with your visits rather than with the calendar.
