Reading the chart
Watch for crossings rather than positions. An occupation overtaking three others across a year is the story; the exact rank in any single frame is not.
What the figure represents
The race is a presentation of Top Occupations, so it carries exactly the same caveats: size is crowding, not difficulty, and occupations under 20 never appear.
