One disc per occupation, with the radius at each angle representing the pool in one of the last 24 published months, on the subclass you selected.
Reading the chart
An expanding spiral is a pool that grew steadily. A lopsided disc means most of the change happened in one part of the period. A near-circle means very little happened at all.
What the figure represents
Discs are a scanning tool, not a measuring tool. They carry shape well and magnitude poorly, and two discs are only comparable if they share a scale.
