Drill-Down — one occupation, any published dimension
Most of the specialised views in this product are a fixed slice of the same data. Drill-Down is the general case: pick one occupation and split its pool by whichever published dimension the question needs.
What this view measures
One occupation on one subclass, with its pool broken along the dimension you select: points, nominated state, submission month, English, partner skills, Australian study or status.
Reading the chart
Read the labelled estimates carefully. In fine splits most cells fall under 20, so the visible bars are a mix of published figures and reconstructed ones, and the view marks which is which.
Totals always reconcile to the published number, even when the internal split is partly estimated. Quote the total with confidence and the split with care.
What the figure represents
This is the view for a specific question rather than a general browse. If you already know which dimension you care about, this gets there faster than the specialised charts.

Select exactly one occupation, set the visa, then choose the dimension. Changing the dimension is cheap, so try two or three before settling on a reading.

Limits of this view
Only dimensions the government publishes are available, splits below 20 are reconstructed, and no combination of dimensions reveals anything about invitations.
Common questions
Why do the estimated parts look different from the published ones?
They are deliberately marked so you can tell them apart. Published figures are exact; estimated portions are reconstructed from the known total.
