State × Points — a grid of jurisdiction against score
Two dimensions that usually appear separately, shown together: for one occupation, how the pool spreads across jurisdictions and across scores at the same time. It is the most detailed public view of nominated competition available.
What this view measures
Rows are jurisdictions, columns are points bands, and each cell is shaded by how many submitted EOIs for your chosen occupation sit at that combination.
Reading the chart
Read across a row to see how one jurisdiction’s applicants are scoring, and down a column to see which jurisdictions carry the strongest applicants at a given score.
This grid is the most affected by suppression in the whole product. Splitting one occupation two ways puts most cells under 20, so treat sparse regions as unknown rather than empty.
What the figure represents
Dense high-score cells in one jurisdiction mean an applicant needs a strong score to stand out there for this occupation. That is competition, not policy.

One occupation, visa on 190 or 491, then read the grid. Switching occupation changes everything, so compare two occupations by looking twice rather than by memory.

For applicants
Find your own row and column and see how crowded that cell is. If almost everything is suppressed, the honest conclusion is that the public data cannot resolve your situation that finely.
For migration professionals
Powerful in a meeting and easy to over-claim from. Say out loud how much of the grid is estimated before you point at any cell.
Limits of this view
Heavy suppression, one month at a time, submitted side only, and nothing about invitations or nomination decisions.
Common questions
Why are so many cells empty?
Because any cell with fewer than 20 EOIs is not published. Splitting one occupation by both jurisdiction and score puts most cells below that line.
