Points Ladder — where a score sits in the pool
Enter a score and the ladder shows how much of the published pool sits above it, at it and below it, with the invited distribution alongside for contrast. It is the fastest way to turn an abstract number into a position.
What this view measures
Bands of scores run up the ladder, with the pool at each band, your marked score, and the invited distribution shown for comparison on the subclass you selected.
Reading the chart
“Above you” counts only published bands, and bands under 20 EOIs are not published, so the real number above is slightly higher than the figure shown.
Compare your position on the submitted ladder with the invited distribution. Sitting inside the invited range is meaningful context; sitting well below it is too.
What the figure represents
A crowded band around your score means many EOIs are competing at the same level. That raises the value of any additional points, without making any particular total sufficient.

For applicants
This answers “where do I stand today”, and it deliberately refuses to answer “when will I be invited”. Nothing in the published data can answer the second question.
For migration professionals
A calm way to show a client that their score is common rather than doomed, or genuinely strong rather than merely valid.
Limits of this view
Suppressed bands make the tails approximate, the invited series is a snapshot rather than a round, and the ladder has no visibility of nomination or eligibility.
Common questions
Is “above you” the number of people ahead of me?
It is the number of EOIs in higher published bands, which is not the same thing. Counts are of forms, not people, and suppressed bands are not included.
