Invited vs Queue — two points distributions side by side
The most useful comparison in the published points data is between who is waiting and who is holding an invitation. This view puts both distributions on the same axis, so the difference between them is visible rather than imagined.
What this view measures
Two sets of bars over the same points bands: the submitted pool and the EOIs invited as at the snapshot, for the subclass you selected and optionally one occupation.
Reading the chart
If the invited bars sit clearly to the right of the submitted bars, invitations in that snapshot concentrated at higher scores. If the two shapes overlap closely, score was less decisive there that month.
Both series are subject to the under-20 rule, and the invited series is usually much smaller, so its bands are more often suppressed. Compare shapes, not individual bars.
What the figure represents
A wide gap means the pool contains many EOIs scoring below what was being invited in that month. That is competition information, not a prediction, and the gap can move month to month.

Lock the visa, then read the whole stream before narrowing to an occupation. Occupation level splits are thinner and more often suppressed.

For applicants
Find where your score sits relative to both shapes. Sitting inside the invited distribution is encouraging context; sitting below it is useful information about what would have to change.
For migration professionals
The clearest way to explain why the legal minimum and the competitive score are different things. Show both distributions in one image and the point makes itself.
Limits of this view
The invited series is a snapshot stock, not a round result, and suppression hides its thin tails. It cannot tell you the actual score at which any invitation was issued.
Common questions
Can I read the invitation cut-off from this chart?
No. The lowest visible invited band is limited by the under-20 publication rule and by the snapshot timing. It is not a round result.
